God’s the Gardner

God’s the gardener and He needs to pick the weeds out. The weeds of doubts. The weeds of the lies that you tell yourself. If you let Him pull out the weeds from your life, there is more space for His love and more space for Him to help you along the path that He has prepared.

Maybe you feel as if your garden is full of weeds and nothing good can ever come from it. Let Him work in your garden (heart & mind) to restore your bed to a more natural way. Letting God is difficult when you don’t feel like you measure up or if there is something you have done to offend Him. Choose to let Him work. He will weed out what He needs to. It’s that openness of your heart that lets Him do the most work.

Sometimes He even takes your messes and turns it into a beautiful garden. No matter how messy your garden may be, He can restore it and use it for good. One of my friend’s stories is messy, but her story has been helping another friend of mine through a similar situation. He knows exactly which weeds to pull out of your life and when.

It takes a lot of courage to let God be the gardener of your life. Sometimes you’ll be stubborn and think that you can do a better job then Him. Then you make a mistake and decide to hand it back over to Him. Just remember that He can make your garden beautiful if you allow yourself to be open to His plan.
